difficult” (Whiteside & Lynam, 2001, p. 685). A major factor in the ability to work at a
task that is not immediately rewarding is the ability to avoid succumbing to the temptation to do something more immediately rewarding instead. Unlike Premeditation, Perseverance
is quite central to Conscientiousness.<
