Apparently, he hadn't yet heard Bach's music, so someone obligingly played one of the master's cantatas. After a few seconds, Mozart shot up and said, "What's this?" Rapt, he focused intently on the glorious sound, then declared, "This is someone a fellow can learn from!" Savoring this anecdote of an incomprehensible genius attending to another, Tellegen says ..."
