Warum hat der Gedanke einen
Reiz?
Da der psychologische Sinn
herangezogen wird, um der
Weltentstehung nachzuspüren.
Viele Gottvorstellungen kamen
vermutlich eben durch solch
eine Heranziehung des
psychologischen Sinns
zu Stande. Und erst die
moderne Physik und
die Naturwissenschaften
brachten andere, daten-
basiertere und eben auch
nüchternere Weltbilder
hervor.

brought forth and unfolded the world—
or which still continue
to unfold the world.
Why does this thought
have its appeal?
Because the psychological sense
is being drawn upon
to trace the origins of the world.
Many ideas of God
probably arose precisely
through such an application
of the psychological sense.
And only modern physics
and the natural sciences
brought forth other worldviews—
more data-based,
and also more sober ones.
